How do I remove an event from my business Facebook page?

Hover over your name and notice the X to the right of it. Click that X and it will ask you if you want to remove the event.

This might not work with private events

NOTE: If you have not responded/RSVP'd to the event, simply click on the event. Do not RSVP. Your name will appear as one of the first names on the left, which will make it easier to remove instead of going through the Declined dropdown.

It's disappointing to have to cancel an event for any reason — but whether you're too sick to host, or the weather proves unfavorable, or another obligation pops up, sometimes unexpected events happen.

If you created and invited people to your event on Facebook, cancelling is a little easier to do. You can cancel the event directly from the event page with a few simple clicks.

You don't even have to do the work of letting those you invited know it's cancelled — Facebook does that for you too. All your invited guests will get a notification at the moment you cancel it.

That said, if you're worried that some of your would-be guests won't see the notification, it may also be a good idea to change the name of your event before you cancel it. Simply adding the word "Cancelled" before the original event name will alert any people who try to visit the page to get the event details of what has happened. Just make sure you do it first: You can't edit an event once you cancel it.

Here's how to do it in a browser on your Mac or PC.
