Today, beauty brand L’Oréal and travel site Tripadvisor have teamed up to create a procrastinator’s paradise, making it easier for people to shop for travel essentials for their upcoming trips.
With the campaign, L’Oréal product recommendations appear as native ads when someone uses Tripadvisor’s search and booking function. Clicking on the ad sends people to a L’Oreal branded duty-free shop site, where people can locate their departing airport and select products to pick up the day of the flight.

Looking to reach travelers interested in finding the right hotel for them, TripAdvisor used price extensions to show hotel rates in its ads.
TripAdvisor, a popular travel site, helps travelers make the most of every trip with more than 570 million reviews and opinions. In addition, the brand compares prices from more than 200 hotel booking sites, helping people find the lowest price on the hotel that's right for them.
You could report it to TripAdvisor via the Help Centre. Click the link below and depending on what page the ad is appearing on will determine which option you need to select.
Another way to stop annoying ads on websites is to install an Adblocker add-on onto your browser. There are a few different available and the instructions are different depending on what browser you use.

I wish to delete my ad at this time.
Could you please do so for me?

What type of ad is that Jill? Do you have a listing on TripAdvisor? If that is what you want to remove, note that TripAdvisor only removes listings of businesses that have closed down for good and can provide evidence of permanent closing.
Can TA please (please please please) do away with the ads that block content and will not go away? Thanks. The darned Ventana Big Sur ad parks itself over content, and because there is not an obvious (or less-than-obvious) way to close the ad, my only choice is to leave the TA forums because I cannot access what I came for.

I don't have any special ad blocker. I just use the standard microsoft pop up blocker on my pc. I don't have a problem with pop ups. I do see a lot of ads on the periphery of my screen, but I figure that's the cost of using a free service. I wish TA could live off the ads and not do the troublesome booking service.

Yes, this is driving me crazy!! I would not mind if it went away after showing briefly, but it just sits there and blocks the dang photo previews that I'm trying to view!!! Even if I scroll up or down, it's in the way. I'll have to see if an Ad blocking software will help.

No need to see such adverts is you have the correct software installed
It is really up to the users to protect their PC, etc and to stop unwanted mail, ads, etc

This is nothing to do with a user wanting "to protect their PC" - the point isn't about blocking popups or adverts, but that adverts are obscuring content and aren't dismissable.
Using a blocker is a workaround, not a solution: it doesn't stop adverts from obscuring content, simply stops you from seeing them.. i.e.: "correct software" shouldn't be necessary with well-designed content.
