How many copies of Office can I install?
Each students and staff member can install the Office software on up to 5 home computers (MAC or PC) , 5 mobile devices (IOS and Android), and 5 smart phones. (The software should not be installed on district computers because these computers already have Microsoft Office on them.)
What Operating Systems and devices can I install Office products on?
Office will work on Windows 7 or greater, Mac OS X 10.6 or greater.
Mobile Apps for Android and Apple are available for Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote and more!
Will I be able to keep the copy of Office once I graduate or leave FWPS?
No. The install of Office is tied to your district account. For a student or staff member who is no longer enrolled in the Federal Way Public School District, the Office installs you performed under the account will become read-only, so you will not be able to edit files with them.

District Students Can Now Download Microsoft Office for Free
Microsoft’s Student Advantage Program provides free downloads of the full version of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Access, etc.) for all Palm Beach County students, in District operated schools, for use on their personal and mobile devices.

District students can download the software on up to 5 devices.
Download and activation requires a student username, student email and password.

Charter schools are not covered under the SDPBC license agreement and would need to negotiate licensing directly with Microsoft.

You can use the plan as long as you are working at a qualified school. Your eligibility may be re-verified at any time. When your Office 365 Education plan expires:

The Office applications enter a reduced-functionality mode, which means that you can view documents, but you cannot edit or create new documents.
Online services associated with the school email address—for example, Office Online and OneDrive—will no longer work.
If your plan expires, you can extend your plan by re-verifying your status as an educator, or by moving to an Office 365 personal plan.

In many cases, the response time is instantaneous through an automated verification process. In other cases where an institution needs to be verified, it may take up to a month to confirm eligibility. If you are nearing the end of your 30-day trial and have not received approval of eligibility, please contact customer support.

The OneDrive account is assigned to you but associated with the school and should be used for school-appropriate content. Permissions and access can be changed by the school’s IT administrator at any time.

Office 365 Education is individually licensed for use only by the eligible teacher. If you have colleagues who want to use Office 365 Education, they can get their own license on the Office 365 Education webpage.

Have a school-specific email address provided by the school (for example, contoso.edu) that can receive external email.
Be of legal age to sign up for an online offer individually.
Have Internet access.

Do Students get Microsoft Office for free?

Is Office 365 free forever for Students?

Once your Office 365 Education plan expires, applications will become view-only after 30 days. After 60, you will lose access. To keep working, you will need to subscribe to Office 365, or back up your files and use Office Online. If you used to be a student, see if your school address will work.

How can I get Microsoft Office lifetime for free?

There is no lifetime license for Microsoft 365. Microsoft 365, unlike Office 2019, requires an annual or monthly subscription to get the latest versions of the Office apps, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook. You will always have the latest features, new tools, security updates and bug fixes available.
