And on Instagram, you can repost, which is essentially a way to share a picture from another Instagram user with your followers.
To repost on Instagram means to re-share someone else's Instagram stories or content to your business or private account. Reposting Instagram stories is a great way to fill your feed with beautiful content.
When someone mentions you in their story, you'll have the option to instantly repost it, adding the photo or video to your own story.
To share someone's post to your story, follow these 5 steps:
Step 1: When you tag a user in your story @mention, sharing is initiated.
Step 2: A pop-up will appear saying, 'mentioned users may repost this story for 24 hours.'
Step 3: The person mentioned will get a notification via direct message with a link to 'add this to your story.'
Step 4: Before posting the final content, you can either crop it or add any filters you want.
Step 5: Don't forget to give credits to the original content creator. When added, followers will see the original creator username, and they can tap it to see that person's profile.
Note:
You can only share someone's post from feed to your story if their account is public and they have allowed re-sharing of their posts.
However, this only works for pictures, not for videos or audios. In the case of audios or videos, you'll need the help of take-in third-party applications.

Step 1: First of all, you have to open the Facebook app for iOS or Android.
Step 2: Then, below a post in your News Feed, you need to tap Share.
Step 3: Here, you have to select + Share to Your Story.
Step 4: The post will appear
on your story. (Optional: You can tap to change the style, tap and hold to move it, or use two fingers to rotate it or change the size.)
Step 5: To add more information, you have to tap Aa to add text, the sticker icon to add a sticker or the drawing icon to draw something.
Step 6: You need to tap Next. Select your audience and then, tap Share Now.

Also note that if the original post is deleted, the post will also be removed from your story and your story archive.
